Hope to see you at Canoecopia

Canoecopia is a huge annual event for canoeists. Kayakers and all manner of quiet water sports enthusiasts. It runs Friday through Sunday, March 10-12, at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison. I will be there giving a presentation on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. My talk is titled “Lake Science—the Coloring Book: What Makes a Lake Tick. It’s a brief introduction to basics of lake life and lake science, assisted by simple and colorful charts such as you see above. It would be great to see you there. In the likely event you won’t be attending, please know that I offer this same “Coloring Book” presentation to lake associations and other lake groups at no charge. As we go through the tail-end of winter, we’re all looking forward to our favorite activities on water in the liquid phase. Here’s wishing you happy springtime.
